The System

The Scheig Hiring & Performance SystemTM consists of three separate but important Phases. Each Phase has a different focus, but the goal remains the same: to identify and develop high performance employees.

Phase One: Assess Your Applicant Pool

Phase One of the System is the Scheig Assessment. The assessment is easy to administer. When applied to a raw applicant pool, the assessment identifies potentially high performing applicants. Once identified, applicants proceed to Phase Two: Confirm.

Phase Two: Confirm Your Hiring Decision

The Structured Interview questions are designed to confirm the competence and experience of the candidates. The questions reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates in critical job behaviors. The interviews are scored to further sort the applicants and identify applicants that warrant employment offers.

Phase Three: Develop High Performers

The Performance Evaluation is integral to the success of the employee. It acts as a communication tool between the manager and the employee and can be used to chart Training Needs on an individual or position-wide basis*.

*Position-wide requires more than one employee to be evaluated.

Research has shown that top performing workers are two to three times more productive than their average counterparts. The difference between high and low productivity directly impacts a company's success.

We use the following three basic building blocks to help you hire the very best employees.

 Job Behaviors

Our job analysis generates between three to five hundred job behaviors. Using these job behaviors, we produce the most thorough behaviorally based job description possible.

The Assessment

As an integral piece of the Scheig Hiring & Performance System, the assessment is created from job behaviors that distinguish high performers. Each assessment is designed to specifically alert the applicant to what is expected on the job and to show your company how the applicant compares with other candidates.
